Clive CholertonExecutive Partner at Quintessence Wealth
Clive brings a wide and diverse array of experience to his current position as Executive Partner with QWealth Partners. Originally from Regina, Sask, he founded the Registered Investment Advisory firm, Spectrum Assets in Boca Raton FL. In 1997. By 2007, he had built it to where it was purchased by United Capital – at that time the 7th acquisition in their history – and he stayed on to run the office as a division of United Capital.
In 2013, he transitioned from running the regional office to a corporate position with the company becoming VP: Business Optimization, focusing on transitioning newly acquired offices into the United Capital protocols as well as maximizing the profitability of the existing offices.
By 2017, United Capital had formed a separate division titled FinLife Partners – essentially a licensing company that allowed non acquired practices to leverage the United Capital technology and processes – and Clive became SVP: Head of FinLife Partnerships Development.
2019 saw United Capital themselves become acquired by the prestigious Goldman Sachs, and Clive stayed on through the purchase and transition. An entrepreneur at his core, he set his sights on his next challenge and found his home country as the ideal and most beckoning option. He saw in Canada, the perfect alignment of regulatory transformation along with consumer demand that would drive a wealth management revolution.
His focus will be divided equally along three fronts, Platform Development, Practice Management, and Partnership Development.
Without question, the greatest joy and most fortuitous good fortune in Clive’s life remains his family. He has been married for over 30 years to Margery Lowe, an acclaimed stage actress and has one son, Evan, a student at the University of Chicago.
