Annelíse Peers is the Chief Investment Officer of Investec Bank (Switzerland) AG and is responsible for overseeing the development and management of the Investec Bank (Switzerland) AG investment process. Annelise has over 25 years of experience within the investment industry with particular expertise in foreign exchange markets, capital and money markets and fixed income securities. After completing a B.A. (Hons) in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Pretoria in 1989 Annelise began her career as an Investment Analyst with Genbel Investments Limited. Annelise was later appointed Treasury Economist of Genmin Limited, the second largest mining house in South Africa (BHP Billiton). In 1995, Annelise joined Investec Merchant Bank as a fixed interest analyst and was rated by financial institutions as one of the top 3 analysts for four consecutive years. Annelise moved to the Netherlands in 1997 where she joined Insinger Asset Management as Head of Fixed Interest Investments, overseeing Insigner’s bond portfolios. During her tenure, the Insinger European Bond Fund received the Micropal and Lipper prizes as the top-performing fund worldwide over a one, two and three year time horizon. In 2000, Annelise set up her own investment company in Switzerland providing investment advice to high net worth individuals and institutional clients. Annelise joined Investec Bank (Switzerland) AG in 2014.
