Enrique MarazuelaChief Investment Officer at BBVA Spain Private Banking
Enrique Marazuela, CFA, CAd is Chief Investment Officer of BBVA Private Banking in Spain since 2004. He has been the president and CEO of the asset management company “BBVA Patrimonios Gestora”, the largest SICAV (similar to open-ended mutual funds) manager in Spain, and a Board member of “BBVA & Partners”, a company which managed several hedge funds (both companies merged with BBVA Asset Management in 2013).
Before BBVA, he worked in AEGON Spain (from 1996 to 2004), the Spanish subsidiary of the large Dutch insurer, as Chief Investment Officer and member of the regional branch executive committee. He represented AEGON Spain at the Board of Directors of “InverSeguros”, a financial group formed by several Spanish insurers, where he was appointed Vicepresident (2003) and President in 2004. Before AEGON, Mr. Marazuela worked as Head of Equity Research in ACF, a local stockbroker, and as Head of the Investment Department of Banco Urquijo asset management subsidiary.
Mr. Marazuela is currently President of CFA Society Spain, the local society in Spain of CFA Institute and holds that position since 2016; he is the Board since 2012.
