Cathy founded her firm, Curtis Financial Planning, 19 years ago to be of service to others and to align her work with her passion for personal finance and investing. She specializes in the finances of single, independent women, female breadwinners, or women who take the lead in the family finances who are looking for a financial partner to advise and guide them throughout their lives.
Cathy extends her expertise by educating the public through her affiliations with CNBC and Investopedia. Cathy has been a member of the CNBC Financial Advisor Council for many years and has been on Investopedia’s 100 top financial advisors list for 3 years running. She was also recognized by Investment News as a Women to Watch in 2020.
Cathy is also a frequent speaker at industry events about working with women clients, and about marketing using social media. She is also an adjunct professor at a women’s college in Oakland, California teaching Personal Finance to MBAs students.
