Al-Sharif is a senior Smart City director with a wealth of experience in the field of smart city development. He has a proven track record of success in leading and managing smart city projects, and he is passionate about using technology to improve the quality of life for citizens.

‏Al-Sharif is a graduate of Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, where he earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He began his career as a communications engineer with Advanced Electronics Company (AEC) and Thales Company, where he worked on the first and largest project of the train project North-South Train (NSR).

‏In 2016, Al-Sharif joined the Diplomatic Quarter General Authority as the director of a smart city. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing the smart city strategy for the Diplomatic Quarter. He also led the development of several smart city projects, including the smart parking system and the smart waste management system.

‏In 2020, Al-Sharif was appointed as the senior Smart City director of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. In this role, he is responsible for leading the development of the smart city strategy for Riyadh. He is also responsible for overseeing the implementation of several smart city projects, including the smart transportation system and the smart water management system.

‏Al-Sharif is a member of the IEEE and the Saudi Engineering Council (SEC). He is also the founder of the chapter on Renewable Energy in the SEC. He is passionate about digital transformation and smart cities, and he has participated in several awareness lectures about digital culture and holding MIT students in crisis and business Resilience.
