Acting Director - Government Digital Services Unified Portal at Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology

Thuraya is working as Acting Director for the Government Digital Services Unified Portal in the Ministry of Transport, Communication and IT. She is an expert in emerging technology, Open data and digital transformation with more than 12 years of professional experience. Thuraiya has also worked as a mentor and judge in different hackathons and competitions and she is a great motivator for startups. Besides her volunteer efforts in sharing knowledge in Oman and globally, she has participated in various conferences globally as a keynote speaker. This journey exposed her globally to be awarded for her AI contribution, leadership in digital transformation and Woman in Technology and Business.

Currently, she is a founded member of the World Metaverse Council. She was also a board member of the Smart City platform and the National Youth Committee in Oman.
