Emma Heelis-Adams TEPPartner at Burges Salmon LLP
Emma is a partner in Burges Salmon’s private client team, specialising in providing succession and wealth planning advice and UK tax advice to high net worth and ultra-high net worth international clients.
Emma has a broad practice, with clients from a range of jurisdictions and backgrounds, but with a particular focus on clients from the Middle East.
The advice she provides includes:
- Advice to UK resident but not UK domiciled individuals and non-UK residents on personal taxation and cross-border succession planning, including advice on UK residence and domicile and the remittance basis of taxation.
- Advice on the tax implications of the ownership of UK real estate by both UK and non-UK residents.
- Advice for a range of financial institutions and trust companies, in particular advising corporate trustees who administer non-UK resident trusts with a UK connection (such as UK resident beneficiaries or UK assets) and advising financial institutions on the UK taxation of investment products.
Outside of work Emma enjoys spending time with her young family, as well as bike riding and playing the trumpet.
