Profile
Peter has over 15 years' experience advising international clients on all aspects of EU and UK competition law. He has particular experience of advising in relation to merger control (M&A and joint ventures), and he also advises on distribution agreements, patent settlements, licences, abuse of dominance and antitrust investigations and advice, market investigations and legislative proposals. Peter has advised clients in various sectors, including in particular TMT, pharmaceuticals, mining and chemicals/plastics.
Peter is dual-qualified in England and Wales (Solicitor) and Belgium (Advocaat, member of the Brussels bar). He has worked in both jurisdictions and is currently based in Brussels. He is fluent in English with a reasonable knowledge of French. Peter graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2000 having studied law, and interned at the European Commission before qualifying as a solicitor. He regularly contributes to thought leadership, including speaking at conferences, as a co-editor of the mergers chapter of the Sweet & Maxwell EU Competition Law Handbook, and as a regular contributor to the HSF Notes competition blog.
