Irene LaneVP, Consumer Insights at Disney Channels Worldwide
Irene Lane is currently Vice President, Consumer Insights for Disney Channels Worldwide, part of The Walt Disney Company. She drives brand, content, culture, and landscape research initiatives for Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Radio Disney, and Lucas and Marvel kids television properties. She joined The Walt Disney Company in 2004.
In her current role, Irene leads a dedicated Kids & Family Insights team, winners of the Quirk’s Marketing Research and Insight Excellence Award for 2019 client-side Team of the Year. She and her team provide direction to senior management, business strategy, marketing, programming, development, digital, and brand teams. She works closely across Disney divisions, to develop and sustain priority brands and grow key properties.
Irene is a seasoned research and insights executive whose experience spans many consumer-facing categories including; media/television, video game entertainment, theme parks, toys, automotive, food, beverage, and pro-social. In her previous role, Irene led research activities for the youth and family entertainment division of Vivendi Universal Games/Knowledge Adventure, overseeing gaming titles under Universal, Fox and Mattel. Prior to that, she held senior research positions at advertising agencies McCann Erickson and Foote, Cone & Belding.
Irene holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from San Diego State University, and an MBA from Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business and Management.
