Jennie Morris serves as Senior Vice President of Content Strategy and Planning for HBO Max, responsible for managing the HBO Max content portfolio, including identifying opportunities to optimize the content offering, as well as crafting the programming rollout.
Previously, Morris served as Content Strategy Lead at Facebook, working on the launch of Facebook Watch, where she was instrumental in building a video strategy including the launch of original series, including Red Table Talk and Sorry For Your Loss.
Prior to Facebook, Morris served as the Executive Vice President of Acquisitions, Research and Operations for Participant Media’s cable channel Pivot. Prior roles include Vice President of International Marketing at AMC Networks and various programming roles at Showtime and Sundance Channel.
Morris is a member of The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, The Hollywood Radio and Television Society, PROMAX, CTAM, and Women In Cable Telecommunications. Morris has been a featured speaker at events worldwide including SXSW, MIPTV, PROMAX and NYTVF, and, since 2014, Morris has been a juror for the Newport Beach Film Festival.
Morris earned her JD/MSW from Boston College and her BA in Russian Studies from UC Santa Cruz and lives in sunny Los Angeles with her family.
