Melva Benoit leads the media and entertainment practice at Reach3 Insights, a dynamic market research consultancy focused on agile insight gathering through conversation and communities.

An award-winning research executive with over 20 years of experience in market research and consumer insights, Melva has held senior executive positions in broadcast television, cable networks and digital media. She has led initiatives that delivered strategic direction in content creation, product strategy, marketing and advertising for major media, entertainment and consumer brands, including Disney, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, NBC, FOX and Nickelodeon.

In 2014, Melva launched The Marian Dupree Group, an innovative insights and solutions company, where she provided guidance and analytic throughput across a range of issues for media and technology clients. In addition, she provided strategic advisory services around consumer insights, content and product development.

In 2012, Melva won the Next Generation Market Research Disruptive Innovation Award for work with TruAnthem to pioneer social media measurement KPI’s used by the industry.

In addition to her role at Reach3, Melva is currently Executive Professor, Digital, Media and Innovation at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management in Malibu, California. She also serves on the board of Neighborhood Partners, Inc, a non-profit organization whose mission is to create affordable housing and economic development for underserved communities.

Melva resides in the Los Angeles area with her husband, two daughters and a Dalmatian.
