Maria Grazia Leone has been working in the regulatory field since 1999. Since 2006 as senior scientific officer Maria Grazia has been involved in various taskforces and projects at national and European level on regulatory and scientific topics related to medical device regulation at the Ministry of health, the Competent Authority for medical devices in Italy. She is Co-Chair of the MDCG Market Surveillance WG and member of the MDCG Borderline and Classification Expert Group, European Commission DG SANTE. Since 1999 to 2006 she has worked at the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) as quality and preclinical assessor for national, mutual recognition and centralized marketing authorization procedures.
Since 1988 to 1999 she worked as a researcher in pharmacology at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” spending 3 years at the Rockefeller University in New York.
Maria Grazia has a degree in pharmacy, and a PhD in pharmacology mastering toxicology.
