Policy Manager at DIGITALEUROPE

In his 2 years at DIGITALEUROPE, as Manager for Digital Transformation Policy, Thomas has enabled the Brussels based business association to build the digital health working group out to what it is today, including the 2021 launch of the Executive Council for Health. This group covers a wide range of digital and healthcare companies, including on the one hand, pharmaceutical businesses, vaccine developers, consumer healthcare and insurance companies, and medical device producers. On the other hand, members are leaders in platform services, data analytics, software, hardware, telecoms, semiconductors and cloud technology. DIGITALEUROPE also represents 38 National trade Association from across Europe.

The working group has strong focus on the European Health Data Space, the AI Act, the GDPR, and more broadly the constellation of regulations and policies that have relevance for the digital transformation of healthcare. Not least, the group forms a stimulating environment for thought leadership, including on digital twins in health.

He holds a M.Sc. in Public Administration at the University of Leiden, with a focus on ethics in digital public policies.

A Dutch national, Thomas comes from Sint Maarten, in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
