Tony de BellPartner, Global Accounting Consulting Services Group at PwC
Tony is a senior partner in PwC's Global Accounting Services Group based in London and a member of PwC’s Global IFRS Leadership Team. He specialises particularly in accounting for revenue and income taxes and leads the global accounting consulting team dealing with revenue and liabilities, including income taxes, stock compensation and employee benefits. He was a member of the IFRS Interpretations Committee from July 2013 to June 2019 and was a member of the IASB/FASB Revenue Recognition Transition Resources Group.
Tony has worked in accounting consulting services for twenty years, before which he served a variety of commercial and industrial clients as an auditor. He spent eighteen months in 2003 and 2004 working in the US National Office in New Jersey. He has led PwC’s global revenue and liabilities accounting consulting team since 2006.
Tony leads a team of partners based throughout the PwC network consulting on revenue, accounting for share based compensation, income taxes and employee benefits and advising on developments in IFRS and emerging issues. He works with several large multinational clients and supports PwC’s clients and engagement teams around the world in connection with transition to IFRS 15. He also speaks and writes regularly on IFRS topics and leads the PwC team liaising with the IASB’s revenue recognition and implementation project teams.
