MenuMasters 2020 Update as of March 19, 2020

We are excited to plan the 2020 Nation’s Restaurant News MenuMasters Celebration, sponsored by Ventura Foods on May 16th in Chicago, and we want nothing more than to celebrate with you!

We are committed to this great industry — now more than ever as we face extreme disruption — and believe the people and brands behind bold menu innovation and memorable customer experience is what makes hospitality a special community. We are with you.
 
The health and safety of our event guests and the foodservice community is our highest priority. In this regard, we are monitoring the emerging and rapidly evolving Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely. We will make a final assessment over the next few weeks; and based on new and evolving developments or updated information, we will promptly notify you regarding the status of the 2020 MenuMasters Celebration accordingly.

MenuMasters Innovator of the Year

Since her childhood cooking with her grandparents on their ranch in Victoria, Texas, Sarah Grueneberg knew she was destined to work in the culinary world. Originally from Houston, Grueneberg moved to Chicago in 2005 to join the team at the award-winning Spiaggia under the leadership of Tony Mantuano. Beginning as a line cook, she quickly rose the ranks to Chef di Cucina in 2008 and then Executive Chef in 2010. During her tenure as Executive Chef, Spiaggia was awarded one Michelin Star for three consecutive years.

MENUMASTERS HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE

Thomas Keller, who helped transform the American dining landscape both with his own restaurants and by mentoring a generation of chefs and restaurateurs, is being inducted into the MenuMasters Hall of Fame in May. He will be honored at this year’s Nation’s Restaurant News MenuMasters gala, sponsored by Ventura Foods, at the Drake Hotel in Chicago on May 16.
