Robyn PynePrincipal Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University
Dr Robyn Pyne is Principle Lecturer in Logistics and Maritime Management at Liverpool John Moores University, where she leads their BSc (Hons) and MSc programmes in Maritime Business and Management, Port Management, Maritime Operations Management, and International Transport, Trade and Logistics.
Robyn has worked as a maritime lecturer since 2013 at Dalian Maritime University, London Metropolitan University, Plymouth University, and Cardiff University. She has over ten years’ experience leading BSc and MSc programmes in UK higher education. Her teaching specialisation is port strategy and development, and port and maritime regulation. Robyn has seagoing experience in the UK Merchant Navy, and has sailed on container ships, bulk carriers and tankers. Robyn holds a BSc (Hons) Maritime Business and Maritime Law, MSc Social Research, and PhD International Shipping and Logistics – awarded by Plymouth University. She completed her MSc and PhD with Economic and Social Research Council funding while based in Dalian, where she also worked for the British Council as an Education Consultant and studied Mandarin Chinese.
