Matthew is the Group Head of Indirect Taxes at Schroders. In this role, Matthew is responsible for all VAT, GST and other Indirect Taxes across the 30+ jurisdictions in which Schroders operate globally. Schroders’ business operations encompass both investment management and private banking.

Prior to joining Schroders in 2016, Matthew was a Director at PwC, where he headed the Investment Management VAT team from 2010. In total, Matthew has over 15 years’ experience in Financial Services VAT.

Matthew is a qualified tax advisor, having secured the prize for Indirect Taxes in his CTA examinations. Matthew currently sits on the EFAMA VAT task force and IA VAT committee, having previously sat on the CIOT Indirect Taxes steering committee.
