Kimberly Calder, MPSSenior Director, Health Policy at National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Profile
Kim Calder currently serves as Senior Director of Health Policy at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, leading the group’s policy analysis work on priority issues supporting federal and state advocacy efforts. In the belief that medications cannot help if people cannot access them, current Society priorities include a campaign challenging all stakeholders to work together to make medications affordable, the process for accessing them simple for the people who need them, and with cost transparency across the drug supply and delivery systems.
Before joining the Society, Ms. Calder held policy and leadership positions at Cancer Care Inc., the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations, and the American Cancer Society. She has served on the governing boards of Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield and the American Pain Society, and on advisory panels for the National Cancer Institute, US Food & Drug Administration, and National Association of Insurance Commissioners. She holds a Master of Policy Studies degree from The New School for Social Research in New York City, and resides in Manhattan.
