Stew CoferExecutive Director, Head of EMEA Local Payments Products at JP Morgan
Stew Cofer, Executive Director at J.P. Morgan, is the Head of EMEA Local Payments Products within Wholesale Payments. He has end-to-end product management responsibility in Treasury Services for all transaction types and local clearing systems in the region, ranging from cash to ACH and instant payments for B2C, C2B, and B2B flows. He is an active industry speaker in Europe and has held various payments industry roles including SWIFT’s UK Board and UK Corporate Advisory Group. Stew is currently an EBA Clearing shareholder and J.P. Morgan’s General Assembly representative for the European Payments Council. A highlight of his current role is co-creating new digital payments products at scale with clients.
Previously Stew had regional responsibility for J. P. Morgan’s Digital offerings in EMEA and before joining J.P. Morgan, served as a corporate treasury technology consultant at ABN AMRO in Amsterdam and London. Originally from Chicago USA, he started his cash management career at LaSalle Bank in treasury+bank implementations before moving to the UK in 2006.
Stew holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University, a Certificate in International Cash Management (CertICM) from the Association of Corporate Treasurers, and has published articles in Treasury Management International magazine.
