Gary Schuman

Head of Safety, Security & Health Americas, Global Support at Informa Group PLC

Gary Schuman is the Regional Head of Safety, Security and Resiliency for Informa’s Americas Region.  Gary is responsible for advising and training Informa colleagues, both at premises and events on Hazard Observation, Incident Response, Risk Assessments and Structural Safety. Gary was instrumental in implementing Informa’s Event Safety Assessment protocols, Operational Training program and the establishment of the Event Safety Operating Model which is used at each Informa event globally.  Prior to joining Informa, Gary was Director of Safety, Security and Emergency Management at Saint Peter’s Healthcare system.  In 2003, Gary retired from The United States Air Force Security Police  after a 25-year career.  Gary holds a bachelor’s degree in security management from American Military University and has received his Certified Protection Profession designation from the American Society of Industrial Security in 2000.
