Gurki is the Complex General Manager of Westin Copley & W Boston. In his role, Gurki is responsible for Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management and Operations of a Premium Service Convention hotel and a Luxury Lifestyle Hotel. As a leader of these hotels, Gurki collaborates with his leadership team in executing sales strategies, brand standard compliance, labor relations and community engagement.
With close to 25 years in the hospitality industry working for the world’s largest hospitality company – Marriott, Gurki has had the opportunity to lead various disciplines including Rooms, Food & Beverage and Six Sigma amongst Marriott’s 30 brands.
Gurki started his hospitality education and apprenticeship in Switzerland. He moved to the US where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management at Johnson & Wales University with First Class Honors.
Gurki’s passions outside work are playing golf and following Boston professional sports. He resides in Boston with his wife and 4 children.
