Andrew Lelling, now a partner in the Investigations and White Collar practice at Jones Day, was the United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts from December 2017 through February 2021. Mr. Lelling was a federal prosecutor for 20 years, focusing primarily on complex white collar crime, including securities fraud, corporate accounting fraud and international money laundering. He was also a senior Justice Department official from 2001 – 2003, during which he led the Department’s investigation of the 2000 presidential election in Florida and negotiated human rights issues with the Chinese government and at the European Union.
Before joining the Justice Department, Mr. Lelling worked at law firms in New York and Boston. He graduated cum laude from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1994 and received his B.A. in Literature & Rhetoric from Binghamton University in 1991.
