Following travel and study in Holland and Tanzania on a Fulbright Scholarship, Emily attended Boston College Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude and served as Managing Editor of the Boston College Law Review. Emily then clerked for Justice Francis Spina of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Following her clerkship, Emily joined the Transactional Department of WilmerHale, where she focused her practice on capital markets transactions and public company governance and disclosure. Emily joined the in-house legal team at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals in 2019, beginning first in the general counsel’s office focusing on securities and disclosure matters before transitioning to lead Ironwood’s Compliance function in 2021.
