Senior Director Legal, Compliance & Quality at Novo Nordisk

Elena is Senior Director and heads-up the Legal Compliance & Quality department of Italy and Malta of Novo Nordisk, a global healthcare company with 95 years of innovation and leadership in diabetes care. Prior to that, Elena was Legal Counsel Southern Europe and Compliance Officer EMEA in Herbalife Nutrition, leading company in the nutrition & food supplements sector. Before moving-house, she gained a significant experience practising as antitrust lawyer in the top tier international law firms Linklaters LLP and Allen& Overy LLP, assisting clients amongst the main players in the pharmaceutical, energy and banking sectors. During such time Elena was also seconded to British American Tobacco Italia to provide advice on antitrust and IP matters relating to the tobacco market. Elena holds a LLM – Master of Law's degree in European, corporate and competition law from Oxford University and a Bachelor's degree in International Law from University of Siena (Italy).
