Garrett Gunchick

General Counsel at Ada Health

Garrett leads the legal team at Ada Health and is responsible for all forms of contract drafting, negotiation and execution (both corporate and commercial), IP management, corporate housekeeping and legal risk management & mitigation.

Prior to joining Ada Health, Garrett gathered five years’ experience working for firms in Frankfurt am Main, including Hogan Lovells as well as White & Case where he specialized in transactions involving access to the capital markets – specifically high-yield bond issuance, syndicated loans and initial public offerings, having advised on more than EUR 3 billion in transactions including Hapag-Lloyd, Vapiano, Katjes, Stabilus, G2X Energy, Voltabox and Gategroup.

Garrett studied Accounting and Finance at Abilene Christian University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree (cum laude) as well as a Master Degree in Accounting (M.Acc.) with a concentration in corporate finance. He thereafter earned his JD (Juris Doctor) at Pepperdine University School of Law, with a concentration in real estate finance and proceeded to earn his LL.M. at the University of Augsburg where he wrote and defended his thesis on sovereign insolvency and the relationship between a sovereign’s commercial paper market and domestic banking ecosystem within the confines of the European Economic and Monetary Union. Garrett is a New York attorney as well as a solicitor in England & Wales.
