Julien CaminatiCase Handler, Merger Control, DG Competition at European Commission
Julien is a Case Handler at the European Commission (DG COMP), where he currently works in the merger unit in charge of the pharmaceutical, financial and chemical sectors. In recent years, Julien has been involved in several high-profile pharma merger cases, such as Takeda/Shire (2018), BMS/Celgene (2019), AbbVie/Allergan (2020) and J&J/Tachosil (2020). Before joining DG COMP in 2017, Julien worked for seven years in private practice in Paris (at Freshfields and Peltier Juvigny Marpeau), advising clients on French and EU competition law matters. Julien graduated from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas (Master in European Business Law) and from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Master in European Studies).
