Senior Director, Private Investments at Nuveen Private Markets

Jeff is a Senior Director in the private placement group of Nuveen, LLC.  Based in New York City, he is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and managing a portfolio of private placement debt investments on behalf of TIAA and several third-party clients.

Prior to Nuveen, Jeff was a vice president in the private placement and commercial real estate groups within AllianceBernstein (AB), where he also sourced, monitored and managed a portfolio of investment grade debt securities, increasingly focused on REITs and private real estate transactions. Prior to joining AB in 2004, he was a senior analyst at MONY Life Insurance Company and underwrote and monitored a portfolio of private placements, mezzanine transactions and high yield bank-loans. Prior to MONY, Jeff was a relationship manager (sell side) in HSBC’s multinational corporate banking division. He completed a corporate banking credit training program at First Fidelity Bank in Newark, NJ in 1995.

Jeff is the Board Chair of The First Tee of Greater Trenton, a NJ-based youth-focused charity that uses junior golf as a platform to provide educational and character building opportunities to young people from at-risk and underserved communities.
