Geert Henckens

Head of European Corporate Private Placements at MetLife

Geert Henckens is Head of European Corporate Private Placements at MetLife Investment Management (MIM). Having joined MIM in 2014, Geert is responsible for leading its London-based private placement team covering the corporate debt private placement markets in the UK, Ireland and continental Europe. He manages a team of investment professionals based in London.

During a 27-year career in financial markets, Geert has covered various roles and positions across various markets, including equities and fixed income. Prior to joining MIM, he worked at KBC Bank in London where he was responsible for arranging and underwriting syndicated loans on a global basis. He started his professional career as a research assistant at the Catholic University of Leuven. Geert graduated Cum Laude as Master in Applied Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
