In his role as Senior Vice President Investments at Minto, Martin Tovey drives all residential rental property acquisitions, dispositions and asset repositioning, and leverages over 30 years’ experience in real estate development and property management with Minto Capital, TransGlobe Property Management, Bramalea Ltd., and Pagecorp Property Management.

With an extensive operations and development background, Martin is responsible for sourcing opportunities that create value and is directly engaged in some of Minto’s largest real estate developments. Most recently, Martin has assembled and executed Minto’s expansion strategy into new markets (Montreal and Vancouver), led over $4 billion in real estate transactions, including closing the single largest multi-residential, retail and commercial portfolio transaction in Canadian history (Cherryhill 2012).

Martin is an industry thought leader with expertise in areas including capital deployment, asset repositioning, purpose-built rental development and asset conversions & change of use.
