Carrie Howell

Executive Director at Dup15q Alliance

Carrie Howell started her nonprofit career at the age of 24 as she took on her first Executive Director role. After experiencing the difficulties faced by a close family member seeking a medical diagnosis for two years, her passion turned to the rare disease space. She joined Dup15q Alliance as the Executive Director in 2021.

Her career includes working with multiple nonprofits and her most recent role was as CEO of a nonprofit consulting firm in south Florida. Her achievements include being recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Charlotte, NC, and as a Brava Award Smart CEO. Carrie holds her MA in Counseling and she is a Certified Fundraising Professional (CFRE).
