Laine joined his father in the family-owned financial services business in 1995, growing and merging the company in 2012. Laine retired from the investment advisory business to focus on the insurance side of the practice, growing the agency into a nationwide brokerage general agency specializing in business and estate planning, emphasizing insurance-based and tax strategies. Subsequently selling the practice to focus his attention on Yrefy.

As a founding member, Chief Investment Officer, and Managing Partner of Yrefy, Laine oversees capital raise and works with Investors and Independent RIAs.

Laine spends significant time working with his Partner, Don Fenstermaker, enhancing the investor and Borrower offerings and developing the software that drives the company.

Laine and his wife Lisa, both Arizona natives, were married in November 2000. They have four children and recently became grandparents. Laine enjoys spending time at the family cabin and doing anything outdoor-related with his family and friends.
