Katja Pluto

Chief Risk Officer EMEA at Zurich Insurance Company

Katja joined Zurich in 2016 and is now the regional CRO for the Europe and Middle East region, including 20+ markets and an about 2bn annual P/L. Moreover, she is a non-executive Board director on various Zurich subsidiaries and its UK pension scheme Trustee. 

Prior to joining Zurich, Katja was CRO, Global Banking & Markets, EMEA at HSBC in London where she held various senior risk related roles for almost a decade. Before that, Katja spent eight years with the German regulator, Deutsche Bundesbank, in market risk supervision and in regulatory policy.
