Tamar Joulia-Paris started her professional career in infrastructure construction and then in cable manufacturing. She joined banking to set-up a modern risk management framework for lending, investment and trading books and became head of Credit Portfolio Management at ING Group, developing risk appetite, research, stress testing and market-based solutions for risk, capital and liquidity optimisation. She was also leading the Credit Capital Markets business during the Global Financial Crisis.

Tamar is now teaching in enterprise risk, credit portfolio as well as sustainability and ESG risk management. She serves as Non-Executive Director on the Board of several specialized banks, investment and technology firms, and as Senior Advisor at the IACPM, the International Association of Credit Portfolio Management.

Tamar holds various engineering & business management degrees from universities in Europe and is based in Brussels.
