Aimee van Wynsberghe
Senior Advisor at Deloitte

As a Senior Advisor of Deloitte Risk Advisory, Aimee van Wynsberghe is working on issues at the interface of ethics and artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. This dovetails perfectly with her position as Assistant Professor of Ethics and Technology at TU Delft. Aimee is also co-founder and director of the Foundation for responsible robotics, 2018 winner of the L’Oreal/UNESCO Women in Science fellowship and a member of the Inspiring Fifty, the list of Top Women in Technology in the Netherlands.

Aimee van Wynsberghe: “Robots will be a pivotal part of our lives and of society within the near future. AI is increasingly used for decisions that affect our daily life. For these reasons, transparent and responsible development and use of AI has become crucial. Decisions taken based on AI should be explainable to staff members and clients, and should be in line with organisations’ core values. Every day, I work on ethical questions involving AI and robotization. It is our shared responsibility to create and use this innovation in a responsible and ethical manner, so we can capitalise on the benefits of this technology as a society.”
