Francis LacanDirector of Risk FRR at Wolters Kluwer
Francis Lacan is the director for Risk Products at Wolters Kluwer. He joined the company in January 2020 from IBM, where he had been leading the Product Management of their trading and risk solutions for over 15 years.
Prior to IBM, Francis spent most of his career in the ‘trading and risk’ space, partly as a practitioner with several financial institutions with roles including Asset manager at Lombard Odier, Head of Fixed Income Financial Engineering at Société Générale and VP of Market, Counterparty and Model Risks at Bank of America Global Markets Europe.
Over the course of his career, Francis has also spent time working directly as a software and service specialist, including being the entrepreneur, founder and designer of the popular front-office software package Kondor+, and leader of the risk consulting team at Ernst & Young France.
Francis trained as a mathematician and supported the French National Space program as a research scientist for five years, before doing a MBA.
