Gilbert Dunlop is the Conducting Officer for Investment Management Oversight at JPMorgan Asset Management (Europe) responsible for reviewing whether funds are operating within the terms and conditions of their investment mandates, legal requirements, limits and regulatory requirements. He has worked in Asset Management since 1999 and for JPMAME since 2011, previously as the Conducting Officer for Risk Management. Before that he was Head of Product Engineering and Risk Analysis at Man Investments, managing a team of Risk Analysts in London and Switzerland. He was a member of the Man Investment Committee, the New Products Committee and the Man Group Finance Committee (responsible for Risk and Capital Management). He has previously also worked for JPMorgan Investment Bank in derivative sales in the Credit and Rates area. His background is in market and risk analysis and management, value at risk, financial modelling, Monte Carlo simulations, derivatives and quantitative finance. He also has a background in investment product development and regulation, in particular in alternative assets. He has a Masters in Mathematics (Quantum Mechanics) from St John’s College, Cambridge and is a CAIA Charter Holder since 2014.
