Susie ThomasDirector at PwC
Susie Thomas is a Director in PwC’s Risk Modelling practice, and has 15 years experience working with multinational banks and lending institutions in an advisory capacity across the UK, Europe and Australia.
Susie specialises in credit risk modelling and stress testing, and over the last few years has led PwC’s response in the UK to the new IFRS 9 accounting standards i.e. advising banks in developing, building and validating their end to end IFRS 9 modelling and forecasting solutions.
Susie also has deep experience in model remediation and independent model validation activities, having assisted international banks in ensuring their credit models are fit for purpose. Susie’s current focus on LIBOR, is around ensuring that the modelling implications across banking books are identified and remediated prior to transition.
Susie has a MSc in actuarial mathematics and statistics from Heriot-Watt university and is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries UK.
