Sackett Granulation Equipment Commissioned by Anuvia

Sackett designed, detailed and fabricated the process and handling equipment to Anuvia’s specifications. Equipment testing was completed at the site, and large scale production of the Anuvia products began this month.

“The Anuvia products emphasize sustainability and commitment to the 4R Nutrient Stewardship philosophy to use the right source at the right rate at the right time and at the right place. Our products provide slow release of nutrients, while at the same time contributing to better soil health, ” says Hugh MacGillivray, Anuvia’s Executive Vice President, Marketing and Business Development. The TRX™ technology is a natural and intuitive delivery system. It is made from combining electrostatically charged (positive and negative) organic particles that provide docking sites for desired nutrients. These substances come in the forms of ions like ammonium (NH4+), potassium (K+), sulfate (SO4-) and ferrous iron (Fe2+), all of which are easily taken up by plants and less susceptible to loss via leaching or volatilization. Our manufacturing process is a proprietary seven-step organic resource processing system described in 14 U.S. patents. It makes use of organic materials that would otherwise be disposed of. By combining industry manufacturing techniques with a patented two-stage hydrolysis process, Anuvia forms the building blocks of novel plant nutrition products with TRX technology™. The resulting plant nutrient products are made up of dry, homogenous granules.

“Our work with Anuvia and the creation of the Zellwood facility is one more step in Sackett’s commitment to engineering and building high efficiency equipment that supports the 4R Nutrient Stewardship philosophy and the overall trend toward better nutrient stewardship,” says Charles Formisani, Sackett Vice President of Sales.
