Nicky has spent the last 17 years working across a broad spectrum of marine environmental and sustainability roles. The last 10 years have focussed on responding to maritime emergencies. She has attended on site at more than 30 pollution, salvage and wreck removal incidents across six continents, advising on best practices in terms of pollution clean-up, impact mitigation, waste management and environmental best-practice. More recently she has been involved in the development and application of ESG frameworks to these unique maritime circumstances.
She previously worked as a senior technical adviser for ITOPF and before that for a fisheries consultancy, the World Bank and various NGOs.
These roles provided her with extensive field experience in environmental /social impact assessment, coral reef monitoring and conservation, as well as fisheries management: enabling her to provide a holistic perspective to complex coastal management and engineering projects.
