Profile

British born and bred followed by two decades in New Zealand before first coming to the Middle East in 2009, Andrew was initially based at Almusbah HQ in Jeddah from 2012 before relocating to Dubai based at the international holding company office in the DIFC.

Andrew is responsible for spearheading the major business development ventures for the family owned Almusbah Group’s diverse business interests both regionally and globally. This covers obtaining franchises as well as acquisitions with special focus on United Kingdom and Africa

Prior to joining Almusbah Trading Group, Andrew was Global Sales & Marketing Director for NZ tech start up MeterEye, which became a ASX listed company through Australian rich lister Chris Morris (founder of Computershare) which resulted in the acquisition of one of the largest car park operators in the UK and Andrew established a UAE based sales and support function and relationships across the Gulf in government and private sector.

Before MeterEye, as General Manager for Trans-Tasman based business print specialist, Premier Business Print, Andrew gained a Middle East market development grant from NZTE and successfully won contracts in the UAE.

Andrew has also held mid management roles for NZ Post subsidiary Datam, Canon and Philips in New Zealand as well as Managing Director India and Asia Pacific for IMR; a leading Colorado based software company.

Andrew was the founding Chairman of the New Zealand Business Council – Dubai and is currently a Board member for the New Zealand Middle East Business in Auckland, New Zealand.

Andrew holds an MBA from Massey University in Auckland New Zealand.

He is a regular speaker on non-aero revenue at airport conferences.
