James TyrrellTechnical Manager at Carnival Corporation
Profile
Started my sea going career in 1995 with Shell International as a Marine Engineer Cadet
Moved to P&O Princess Cruises in 2000 as a junior engineer and moved up the ranks to 1st Engineer before coming into a shore side position in 2006. This role involving the management of maintenance structure and strategy across the P&O UK, Cunard and P&O Australia Fleet.
I then moved into a technical project management role planning and executing projects onboard the Carnival UK vessels both in service and during dry docks. This led to the introduction into Carnival Corporation where I was part of a three person team heading up the research, development, installation and trialling of EGCS'.
