A marine professional with over 25 years of experience in the shipping and maritime industry. Sudhir is a Master Mariner and has 14 years seagoing experience on various ship types including container vessels, passenger /cruise vessels, crude oil tankers and bulk carriers.
Sudhir came ashore as a commercial marine superintendent / quality manager for the Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) division of Mitsui OSK Line (MOL). He worked for MOL for 3.5 years, based in their London Office.
He thereafter joined London Offshore Consultants (LOC) where he worked as an Associate and Consultant for 8 years.
At LOC Sudhir primarily focussed on casualty investigation, providing expert opinion reports for use in litigation. He has appeared in London High Court as an expert witness.
Sudhir has hands-on salvage and wreck removal experience and has notably attended the wreck removal operations of the Costa Concordia at Giglio, Italy along with other major casualties.
He also has extensive experience as a Marine Warranty Surveyor for the renewables and energy sectors.
Sudhir joined the Charles Taylor group in 2019, a leading international provider of professional services to the global insurance market. Sudhir brings his seafaring, technical and consultancy experience to The Standard Club and is currently working as a Marine Surveyor with the Loss Prevention Team. His role involves assessing and managing risk of the Clubs marine portfolio, whilst supporting the underwriting and claims function in risk identification and loss prevention.
