Profile

Julie is the Chief Executive of Workforce Planning Global and a recognised international expert in workforce planning. Earlier in her career, Julie worked in the Australian Government sector. She also worked at the United Nations, Centre for Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs and at the International Atomic Energy Agency both in Vienna, Austria. She has worked in 15 countries. Julie was a member of the International Standardization of Organisations (ISO) TC 260 Human Resource Management (HRM) Committee for 11 years and an active contributor to the writing of more than 5 international HRM Standards.

In 2018, she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to business, workforce planning and management.

In 2017, she received the Standards Australia Meritorious Contribution Award – International for exceptional achievements of experts in the area of international standardization.

She is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute.

Julie is an author. ‘An Introduction to Workforce Planning’ (2008), ‘The Workforce Planning Imperative’ (2010) and wrote the Workforce Planning chapter in the (2019) international book ‘Human Capital Management Standards’.

She was recognised in the 2008 and 2015 South Australian Government Women’s Honour Roll which pays tribute to South Australian women who have made significant impact on the community, women who are role models and leaders.

In November 2019 she was recognised as a Ceiling Smasher – South Australian women who have changed history in business and finance as part of the celebration of the 125 year anniversary of women’s suffrage in South Australia.
