Miguel LlopICT Director at Fundación Valenciaport
Miguel Llop is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a project management professional certified by the PMI. He currently serves as director of digital transformation projects for ports at the Valenciaport Foundation in the Port of Valencia. He has extensive knowledge and experience in processes related to maritime transport, ports, port terminals, logistics, customs and international trade as well as emerging technologies such as IoT, Blockchain, Big Data and Cloud Computing. His work and experience of more than 20 years in single windows and port community systems allows him to have an integrated vision and participate in the evolution of different digital platforms in the field of commerce and transport in numerous countries where he has worked. He is a member of the Digital Transport Logistics Forum promoted by the European Commission.
He has been responsible for the Valenciaport Foundation in more than ten large-scale research and innovation projects in the application of information and digital technologies in the transport field. He has also participated as an expert in reengineering, improvement process and change management in numerous other projects related to ports and transport. He has participated in more than 70 international seminars and workshops in different countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America.
