Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Barcelona and two postgraduate studies: Marketing Strategy (ESADE) and General Management (IESE).
Prior to his appointment with the Port of Barcelona, he worked for twenty years with different private companies in the area of international marketing.
He is currently Deputy General Manager of the Port of Barcelona; President of the International Association of Ports and Harbours, IAPH; Chairman of the Port Governance Committee and member of the Executive Committee of the European Sea Ports Organisation, ESPO; Founder and deeply involved since 1998 in Intermed (North-West Mediterranean Ports Association -Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona); President of PortIC, the Barcelona’s Port Community System; Chief Executive Officer of tmZ, Zaragoza Inland Terminal; and associate lecturer in International Marketing at the University of Barcelona.
Prior to his current responsibilities at the ESPO, he was ESPO Chairman from 2012 to 2016, Chairman of the ESPO Intermodal and Logistics Committee from 2008 to 2012, and member of the ESPO Executive Committee since 2008.
