Med Ports Association

The MEDports is a non-profit association created in June 2018. It gathers 24 Mediterranean Ports Authorities and 2 Associated Members. The objectives of the MEDports Association are to improve the efficiency, the competitiveness and the world visibility of the Mediterranean Ports. Moreover, it facilitates the creation of new maritime trade links between the Mediterranean Ports by enhancing the exchange of best practices and data and by collaborating in the implementation of sustainable, secure and efficient transport corridors. The Association promotes and supports the Mediterranean Ports interests in front of international organizations and institutions through policy advising, participation in conferences and meetings. Therefore, the MEDports Association examines issues related to port activities and maritime sector in the context of international treaties and regulation by focusing on the impacts on the Mediterranean Sea.

To fulfil its ambitions, the MEDports Association is organized by an Executive Committee and six technical Committees:

  • Statistics & Market Analysis
  • Relation with International institutions
  • Smartport
