Profile
Sara is a mentor and SDG advocate, with years of experience in social innovation, communication and sustainable development. Alongside her current role as the Communications and Advocacy Manager for the United Nations office in the UAE, she is a frequent trainer, mentor, speaker and judge in accelerator programs sharing her expertise with social enterprises on business for impact, storytelling and design thinking.
She held previous leadership roles within private and international organizations, including corporate sustainability at MBC Group in Dubai, where she led impactful strategic regional programs, with integrated media content focusing on education, gender equality, diversity and inclusion. She is actively involved in advocacy groups focusing on peacebuilding and social cohesion through participatory designs, impact technology, social entrepreneurship, storytelling and the sustainable development goals. She was selected as a young leader for the Young Women Peacebuilders Program and the Gender Innovation Agora by UN Women, where she advises on the economic empowerment of women and active participation through women’s peace and security agenda across the Arab states.
