Alex is the Head of European Pensions at Cambridge Associates (CA) and splits his time between the UK and Germany. He is responsible for CA’s portfolio management services for pension fund and insurance clients across Europe. Alex oversees a team of Investment Directors who act as the Outsourced Chief Investment Office on strategy, risk management, manager selection and implementation, and takes on the role of lead Investment Director with a number of clients. He has vast experience incorporating private and alternatives investment strategies into pension schemes’ asset allocation.

Prior to joining CA, Alex served as a Head of Manager Research in KPMG’s investment advisory team and gained investment experience at Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow and Allianz. Alex is a part-time teacher of Finance at the London School of Economics. He is also Chair of the Structured Learning Working Group of the CFA Society UK, and sits on its Exams and Education Committee.
