Annachiara MarcandalliEuropean Head of Sustainable and Impact Investing, Managing Director and Partner at Cambridge Associates
Annachiara joined Cambridge Associates in 2000 and has more than 20 years of investment and impact experience. Annachiara is the lead investor for clients with assets from $350m to $4bn. Several of these clients are pursuing ambitious ESG integration strategies for the portfolio, ranging from fossil divestment, impact investing carve outs and net zero carbon targets. She also co-chairs the firm’s Sustainable and Impact Investing Council, a cross-practice group that drives strategy and research on sustainability and impact. She served as co-head of the European Endowment and Foundation Practice and leads the firm’s Italian business.
Annachiara is a frequent speaker at European client and industry conferences and regularly contributes to firm research on sustainability trends and strategies. In 2019, she co-authored A Summary of Climate Change Science for Investors and in 2020, she co-authored The Materiality of Sustainability for Investors.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Annachiara was in the investment banking division of Lazard & Freres Italy. She also worked for Sunguard in London, specialising in risk management for complex portfolios.
She holds an Economics degree from Universita’ Commercial “L. Bocconi” in Milan and a MBA from the Yale School of Management.
