Ben Leach is a Senior Director in WTW's Investments business responsible for leading its private markets platform and strategic growth initiatives more broadly. Ben joined WTW in London at the start of 2017 from the FirstRand Group. He has spent his career working in the investment industry leading the development and growth of new innovative solutions, distribution channels and investment capabilities in both investment banking and asset management organisations. Having lived and worked in four countries on three continents, working with multiple asset owner types across the size spectrum, Ben’s combination of deep industry understanding and an ability to connect with diverse groups of people ultimately enables him to lead his teams to deliver better outcomes for his clients. He began his career in Johannesburg as an analyst in a direct private equity boutique.

As the Head of Private Markets Solutions, he's responsible for >$65bn of clients' assets, which WTW supervises across private equity, real assets and private credit investment solutions. He has designed and managed bespoke portfolios and commingled funds across all three verticals for multiple clients around the world leveraging the best of WTW’s platform. Ben returned to London in 2022 following 4 years in Chicago where he established and led the growth of WTW's specialist investment management business and team in North America.

Ben is a member of the CFA Institute, has a Masters in Finance from London Business School and a B.Bus.Sc (Hons) in Finance & Economics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
